About the Fraser Valley Dahlia Society

The Fraser Valley Dahlia Society exists to educate, inspire, and support the dahlia-growing community at every level.
We believe dahlias bring people together and are committed to promoting interest in growing, breeding, and showcasing these remarkable flowers.
We support a diverse community of novice growers, hobbyists, breeders, cut flower farmers, and exhibitors by promoting best practices in cultivation and breeding, developing and sharing educational resources, and encouraging excellence in exhibition. With a strong focus on methods suited to our regional climate, we provide practical knowledge that helps growers succeed.
Through education, shared experiences, and community engagement, we create opportunities for learning, connection, and growth—both in the garden and beyond.

The Fraser Valley Dahlia Society is dedicated to advancing excellence in the cultivation, exhibition, and judging of dahlias.
As a member of the American Dahlia Society and associated and Northwest Federation of Dahlia Growers, we aim to uphold recognized standards that promote integrity and consistency in judging and exhibition.
One of our goals is to host a yearly sanctioned show, providing opportunities for growers to exhibit and refine their skills within a standards-based environment. Through this work, we support the development of exhibitors, judges, and breeders while encouraging the preservation and improvement of dahlia cultivars.
We strive collaborate with other societies and organizations to strengthen the dahlia community and foster meaningful connections through horticulture.
